Essays

Saturday is usually a rest day for me and well today is no different.

I wkoe up at around 11:00 today. I guess my body was trying to make up for all its I started the day in front of the computer thinking about the topic of the essay that I am supposed to submit on monday for my english class. I came up with an essay about Ice hockey. The topic was already on the back of my mind ever since I heard about the essay assignment so I might as well use it. I was sitting in front of the computer thinking that I would summarize the tournament last october called octoberslam. I was thinking that it would be hard for me to come up with the ideas to write about so I made the essay outline showing the essay discussing the whole event and all of the games that I played in. But as soon as I started wrting a lot of ideas came flowing to my head that I realized that I wouldnt be able to discuss all three games so I just focused on one of them.

As I was about midway through my project. I saw that it was 4:00 pm so I left the computer and watched the Uaap games. I saw the FEU-NU game and saw the foul made by someone with 0.0 seconds left in overtime with the game tied. Oh well tough luck for NU i guess. Then afterwards I watched the Adamson- Ateneo game. I think this was the first time that I watched an Ateneo Game that didnt involve la salle. I saw the whole game, and saw the comeback made Ateneo. I guess it was also the first time that I actually rooted for ateneo. The game ended dramatically with an La tenorio stepback three with around 4 seconds remaining. After seeing that three go in I was quite pleased, haha it's actually a first time for me to be pleased with an ateneo win haha oh well I guss the school culture is getting inside my system now. :)

After the game, my dad asked me to get some medicine from the store. While I was going there I remembered that the Anime cd shop which I often visit was closing. I dropped by to say a quick goodbye to the salesclerks and wondered to myself where I'm gonna go to buy my anime cd's now, but more thatn that I think Im gonna miss Ate Reg since I dont have any "tambayan" in Rustans now hehe. It also reminded me of dataventure, a pc cd shop which was in rustans before. I used to stay there and befriend the sales clerk and even the owner but they had to close too. Oh well I wonder why my tambayans are closing ahahaha maybe I'm a jynx to their stores? hehe

Tryouts

Half day for me today. There was an academic convocation so classes from 1:30 to 6:00 were suspended.

When I was about to use the megatren to go to school, I got some bad news, they said that the train was not working so I had to wait. Thinking that it would take a long time to fix, I went back home to ask how to go to Ateneo without using the train. My Aunt said that I should ride a jeepney so I decided to do that. As I was walking to the jeepney station, I checked on the megatren and saw that it was fixed already so I just went and rode it instead of the jeep.

When I was in math class, dor some reason I was noisier than usual. I was even joking with my teacher and other members of the class who I am not really that close to. At least by doing that, Math 11 seems to become easier and the 1 hour and 30 minute class seems to shorten.

After math, Kathy, Rhea, Barbie, James, Hans, Luigi and I decided to eat out since most of us had things to do in school after lunch anyway. We went to Shakey's to eat. The fun part of the meal was when Barbie, Kathy and Rhea went to the ice cream bar. I had a lot of fun looking at them trying to pile more and more ice cream and toppings on the cup so that they would be able to maximize the price that they paid for it.

After eating we all headed to the library since Barbie wanted to finish her lesson plan and I had to be at the lib steps for the ride going to greenhills west for the celadon tryouts. 10 minutes before the agreed meeting time, I asked hans to accompany me to the steps since I didnt want to be like a loner there. Hans was nice enough to oblige and then we talked a bit until I was able to find the people who I am going to hitch a ride with.

During the tryouts, I was performing well in the shootaround, I was in rhytm so I felt a little confident. I was also quite happy to know that I wouldnt be going against 6 foot point guards and that even if im the smallest. Then we started the drills, luckily i was able to hit the easy lay up shots, haha even if they are easy, i was just able to elarn them a few months ago. Then a 3 on 3 scrimmage was done. We lost the game, but I was able to make some nifty passes and some nice shots. I guess I wont make the team but at least I was able to play a game, and meet some new people.

"Dear Boys part 2"

Finally a rest day! yeah!

I spent the whole day watching the episodes of Dear Boys. Haha it was a great anime but well I was kinda expecting the plot hehe.

Oh well I guess the whole day was about basketball, After that I watched the Uaap game between adamson and dlsu, Darn la salle lost to them by 2 oh well, I guess it was really time for adamson to finally beat la salle darn...

That's all, hehe nothing really happened today hehe...

Soaking Wet

Thank God it's Friday

Pretty routine friday, hehe english and lit were good, physics lecture was boring and physics lab was nice, hehe. The physics lecture is making me a bit nervous. Since I get bored during the class, I end up falling asleep, so I'm missing out some notes. But I guess if i study the book i wont be missin much so I guess I gotta go read that book.

After the physics lab, I was supposed to head home to change before I go to galle for Pj's treat thingie. But then rain fell so hard that it was difficult for me to go to the caf from sec a. hehe then some of Pj's friends helped us by sharing their umbrellas unfortunately the rain was too strong so I ended up getting wet anyway hehe.

When it wasnt raining that hard anymore, I decided to commute and go home. When I was at the gate, I saw that the stairs of the overpass was flooded already hehe. While I was thinking about how to cross the road, Someone called my name and I saw Elise hehe we chatted a bit and after that it was back to thinkin about the road problem hehe. I solved it by deciding to cross on the farther end of the street instead of the usual overpass.

After a quick bath, I headed for gale using the Mrt. hehe its been a while since i last did it so I was kinda nostalgic when I rode it hehe. This route used to be pretty routine for me when I was still studying at lsgh hha oh well.

When I was at galle, I saw Anj, James, Da, and Alden. We went to Ice monster to sit and there talked about some stuff. After a while I saw Sha with some friends in the opposite table hehe, after a hi hehe I resumed talking to james. Then robin arrived but still no sign of pj and pat, haha since it was around 7:48 already we just decided to cancel the movie thingie. Finally Pj and Pat arrived hehe. And when they arrived we just decided to eat at pancake house.

After eating it was already around 10 so there wasnt much to do except go home. As usual I asked Pj to give me a ride and he agreed. We had fun on the way home since everyone was joking about things and such hehe oh well...

Dear Boys

Ahh thursdays haha I like thursdays since I only have two subjects and both of those subjects are great.

Had a fun maath, we were  joking around with our teacher but we are learning hehe (well at least I hope we are learning). I guess it's the same with my filipino subject. The teacher is nice as long as you dont piss him off.

I guess I've pretty much formed my schedule for tuesdays,thursdays. At 11:00-12:00 I go to the shooting range, hehe. I saw a pretty familiar name when I was there I guess I came across it during one of my tests in dlsu oh well hehe. I also met a new friend hehe he was the guy shooting beside me hehe I guess its because we were able to talk about our difficulties in handling our respective guns that we were able to get along. and at 12:00 - 1:00, I play basketball with pat and friends hehe, during today's game i had a difficult time, hehe i wasnt able to play well, and caused a lot of turnovers for my team haha oh well...

1:30-3:00 is class hours for me. And 3:00-onwards is play time hehe. I go back to the cov courts to shoot some hoops. Had a whole court game and I guess I played pretty well, haha my confidence is way up now because of that game hehehe.

When I reached home, I started watching pat's copies of the anime dear boys, haha it was pretty cool since it is  an anime that deals with basketball, hehee I guess it's like an updated version of the slam dunk series hehe oh well this anime is really gettting me excited so that's all for now...

Math exams!!!

Today I had an exam in math...

I guess I was pretty nervous goin' to school since I didnt really study last night. Luckily I saw Mich's friend who had already taken her long test so I borrowed her test and studied haha... The test was easy but I guess I flunked the test, My mind wasn't really working well, and aslo the truth that I didnt study enough. Oh well I hope I get effort points or something like that.

After the test it was off to shooting practice, Damn I can't control my hand when Im standing I guess I need to improve my left arm's strength. I was hitting pretty ok during the bench shots so maybe it really is the arm problem.

After that we played some basketball and then class was next hehe.

Grandfather's House

We left the house to go to my grandfather's house for the "babang luksa" thingie.

Had nothing to do there except eat and read. I even brought the physics textbook since I knew that i won't be able to do anything there. Since I was bored, I asked my dad to accompany me in driving the car. Well, I SUCK at it big time, hehe I guess it's because I don't have practice anymore, I was ok in straight driving but when it comes to tackling corners hehe, my dad says that I have too much speed haha oh well.

When we arrived at our house. A taxi was blocking the driveway. It was there for so long that we decided to call the barangay office about it. When they arrived, they opened the car and saw that the keys were inside, So they decided to bring the car to camp crame i guess for further investigation.

I was watching the Uaap games and La Salle won over Feu YEAH!

Assemblies

Finally it's friday...

English was a success. Although I became a freeloader of the group for our presentation, I guess we were able to pull through, huge thanks to my groupmates, and I promise that I would help in other future tasks if there would still be...

after the lit and physics subjects, I was kinda excited to go to the celadon ga. But before that, Pat texted me and said that we should go to moro for the adidas sale. hehe so i went there,

At the sale, I saw the shirt design that I was looking for, I was kinda hopeful already but then found out that there was no smaller size darn oh well.

We went to the colayco pavillion and waited for th start of the GA. It started kinda late (i think) and I had to leave early so I wasnt really able to grasp the whole ga "experience" hehe oh well so much for excitement ahaha darn.

I was supposed to go to galle but I guess I became lazy so i didnt go anymore hehe

Shooting

Tuesdays, for some reason I like tuesday scheds hehe

We had math, I was still able to understand the math lessons which is always a good sign hehe, but i did have to trouble with the group work thingie. oh welpz

Then Anje and I went to the Arpt building. She went to fix her sched and I went to ask if my status was ok, well my status was fixed so I can now take part in the training thingie.

During lunch time, I couldnt resist the urge to shoot some hoops so even if i didnt have any extra shirt I still went and played hehe.

Then we had filipino class. We had a somewhat scary moment in class. when the prof suddenly snapped at one of my blockmates for her joke oh well, but overall I guess the class was pretty ok...

Then After filipino we went down to the ARPT building to shoot. At first I sucked at hitting the target, but my last 10 or so shots were already hitting the mark so I guess I was able to adjust pretty well.

School day

A normal boring school day

Had my english classes in the morning, hehe it was ok didnt really do much excpet listen during those classes.

Lunch time was fun though. For some reason Anje and I began singing songs during lunch time hahaha. Oh well at least it broke the monotony of the day.

Then physics was next.It was as boring as usual ahaha but at least i didnt fall asleep during the physics class this time. Then pe, haha i suck at volleyball! damn!


I also signed up for the arpt seminars, there was some trouble but they said they'll give me a slot so there hehe that's basically my day.

Ateneo Lasalle

Well ateneo vs. lasalle today, green white fight!

First went to mass. After that I headed to the cd store to buy the first spiderman movie since I haven't watched it yet. When I went home, I watched the film I guess it was a nice movie hehe, Im gonna watch part 2 next week.

After the movie, it was time for the ateneo vs la salle basketball game. I still found myself cheering for la salle even though Im an atenean now, but during the game I also wanted ateneo to catch up to la salle arrgh Im torn ahaha. But I guess when La salle lost the game I didnt really feel nice about it so I guess Im still a bit more la sallian when it comes to uaap basketball games.

Guidance Workshop

I had to go to ateneo today, Guidance workshop thingie.

Well the guidance workshop was over pretty quick. It was scheduled at 1:00 - 5:00 but it was over at around 4:00. During the workshop thingie I found out that I am an INFP, I am an Introvert (some blockmates dont believe this), an intuitive, a feeling and perceptive person ehehe. Well I dunno I guess the description does fit me.

After the workshop, I went with khristian and nikki to SBC. We joined up with Lace and Chris. Then all of us went to Mcdonalds and saw kathy and friends with Rhea. After that we went to Jolibee to meet up with James, Luigi, Hans and Vanjo. Didnt really stay with them since I wanted to go home quickly.

Well that's all I can say for the day, Nothing really happened anyway. Im pretty excited for tomorrow's game.

Guidance Test Part II

It was supposed to be a normal Wedenesday but I had to take the guidance testing part II.

I didnt know there was a guidance test later in the afternoon when I came to school today. Luckily some blockmates informed me about it so I was able to take it.

During the morning we had our English test, It was pretty ok since it was a test by partners. Lucky for me, my partner was good so he did most of the work hehe. Then Lit, We had a free cut for lit hehe a lucky day,

Then We had physics, Well what else can I say? It's still boring, Haha i guess its because of the teaching style or maybe i just lack the needed interest for the lesson.

After physics we were supposed to have our pe but it was another free cut, so i just spent it playing volleyball and basketball haha. So I still wasnt able to rest.

Then the guidance test, well it sucks since it consisted of around 450-500 questions and it was all true or false, which really hurts the eyes hehehe.

When I was going home, I saw Bea and Ape, hehe i chatted a bit with them and then headed for home...

A boring day!

I thought that we will have no classes since today was the inauguration of the President of the Philippines. Oh welpz, I guess since it was held in Cebu so it does not really affect the school.

Well we had a normal english class, which is quite boring as usual, hehe its boring but fun (hmm i dont know how you can say that though). Then we had a quiz in Lit, it was about the film naglalayag but it quite hard for me since I didnt really study the film in a way that sir remoto wanted me to. I viewed it thinking about characters and what they did and not really cared about the fictional strategies found on it. Oh well...

Then I went to the Org recruitment area in colayco hall, I signed up for celadon and well that's that hehe. I have an interview on July 1, 2004 (tomorrow) hehe.

Physics was next. Lucky for us our professor wasnt present so we had a free cut. After that I headed to the covered courts already and then played some basketball before Pe, then the instructor came and so I had to go to my pe class.

A fun math day. IT's just it was today that I realized that I have misplaced my math notebook so I had to write on pad paper oh well...

After math I went to Delacosta for my Celadon interview. I guess it was pretty ok. I got lucky since Mich was with me during the interview so I had a reason when they asked me why I joined the org. Hehe at least now I have an org.

After that we had the filipino class. Hmm it was very fun haha I even learned a new word. The word is Jantung, haha it means heart in one of those regional languages.

Yey!! No classes today since it's faculty day.

Went to galle to meet up with some of my friends. I was with Pat and Anj for a little while and then Alden showed up. Hehe after talking a bit in front of the movie house, Anj had to leave and Alden went to watch a movie so Pat and I were left. We went to the arcade and played Some billiards. Then we decided to go to Linkshot to play NBA live. We had a pretty nice game. hehe His team had a double digit lead which I was able to catch up but a jumper in the dying seconds decided the game in his favor.

Then powee and james arrived and we played billiards with them. After that we ate at max. After eating the group already split up. Powee was kind enough to take me home and lend me the Harry Potter book 5 to boot hehe...

A very useless day hehe. I just spent it at home reading the harry potter book that powee lent me. I guess I spent around 6 hours just reading the book it was pretty ok, hehe but sometimes I wanted to turn to the last parts of the book to find out the ending already since i got quite curious. After those 6 hours I was in the 27th chapter , 12 more chapters and Im done!

Another dull day...

I spent the day reading the book and I finished the 12 remaining chapters in the harry potter book. The book was nice, it has a nice mix of suspense, comedy and even a little romance. hehe

After that I went to mass and bought some shirts after the mass. I guess I realized that I really needed some new clothes since I didnt have any uniform in school hehe and I was just rotating around 12 shirts hehe.

I hate it when it's monday, haha Im too lazy to get up and study.

I had english class, Our professor told us that on wednesday we would have a test. Damn what news to start the day hehe. After that we had Literature and we needed to meta-critic our classmates paper. Hmm I guess what hindered me from writing a good criticism was the idea that I wasnt able to write anything better, si what right do i have to criticize his paper? hehe

Then we had physics class. It had no improvements as far as boredom is concerned hehe. I saw some blockmates head's bobbing already fighting the urge to sleep. We then had a quiz there haha I think i failed that quiz since I was really unprepared and my mind doesnt work really nice when im that bored hehehee.

Then we had intact classes, I guess more bad news, we have to go to the school on saturday for the guidance testing thingie oh well...

Then I went to the covered courts to play some basketball and then i had pe classes. After pe I played basketball again with some of my blockmates. Then Pat came and we played some 1 on 1 hehe then I headed for home since it was nearly 5:30pm already and I wanted to have some rest

July 6, 2004
Had my math class today, the prof said we were supposed to have a quiz but it fizzled so we just had lectures and exercises hehe. After math i went to the Arpt for my interview. There was more bad news when I was there. There would be an Orsem for the arpt training on Sunday so that would mean that I would stay in ateneo for the whole week man!!! no rest for me i guess hehe...

Then we had our filipino class, it was fun even though we started the period with a short quiz. Hehe I guess I did pretty ok with the quiz anyway since I listened during thursday's discussion.

After filipino I went to the covered courts to play some hoops. I guess Im really getting a lot of exercise since it is almost everyday that I play ball hehe.

A bad thing though, the katipunan station of the mrt had some trouble. Its no problem when Im going home since I can just ride the jeep, but I still wonder how I am going to go to school tomorrow Oh well...

Sign Up

A very cool day today. The storm is making it wet and cool hehe.

Went to my math class. I was kinda cofident that I would be able to stay in regular math, but I wasnt really feeling that great about my score. I was feeling right hehe. I was able to stay in regular math, but my score wasnt nice. I got a 76 out of a 100. Roughly a C or a C+, I aint sure though.

Then I asked lace to accompany me to the org sign ups area. I went to Actm and signed there. I also headed to the Acil booth. I went there not to sign up, but to talk to joyce abnout her hulagpos book. Joyce was kind enough to sell the book to me for a hundred even if its actual cost is 300 pesos. so Thanks Joyce!

After that we headed to manangs to eat and wait for our other blockmates. Then Ange came and I asked her to accompany me to the Arpt (sumthing like ateneo rifle and pistol team) then I signed up there as well hehe.

Then I went to the covered courts to play some basketball. Luckily I had brought an extra shirt so I was able to really play hehe. I guess I spent about an hour playing before I had to dress up since I still had a filipino class.

Then we had our filipino class. It was ok i guess. We spent it by discussing the course syllabus. I guess our prof is ok just as long as you dont piss him off by doing rude things hehe.

After our filipino class, I then headed to the covered courts to play some basketball again. I really do enjoy playing ball. Haha I think my game's getting better and better since i am able to play it more often now.

I got tired so I just dressed up and headed for home, When I reached the house I decided to go to Sm to buy some stuff. After that it was rest time for me as I just spent the hours fixing my bag and chatting. hehe

Free cuts

A pretty dull day in school.

Woke up at 7 am, saw the text from Angeline uy stating that our english prof. would not be able to come to our class. So this made me relax a bit and I slept for an hour more.

Woke up again at 8 am, took a bath already, Even if my class would start at 10:30, I decided that I wanted to be in ateneo at an early time since the clouds were dark and it might rain so I might as well go while it's still dry.

Arrived in Ateneo at 9:20. I realized that if I still had a class in english, i would stil be able to make it on time even if I left a little earlier than usual. So I headed for our room in Berchman's hall and saw some blockmates. A lot of them where talking about the film that mr. remoto asked us to watch (Naglalayag) and some of them were talking, while some were listening to some of our other blockmates, play the guitar.

After about an hour, it was time for our next class to begin. But then Mr. Remoto didnt arrive so I had another free cut. THis time the english block left the classroom and scattered all over the campus hehe.

I headed to Colayco for the org sign up thingies, but then I realized that I didnt have my wallet so I just decided that I would join the orgs tomorrow. After that I went to the caf to drink and talk to some of my blockmates.

Then we had physics class. As usual it was pretty boring. Haha at least even if Im bored and sleepy during the class I am still able to understand most of the lesson that was being discusssed.

After physics class, we walked a long way to Bel for our 1st intact class We had fun during intact since it had groupdynamics and it was kinda relaxing after a day in school.

I then headed to the covered courts. Even if I had a free cut in Pe because of the cheer rally, I still went since I wanted to play some basketball. Luckily, I spotted a friend who brought a ball with him so I was able to shoot around and even have a 1 on 1 match.

After the game, I headed for home. I guess I was pretty tired because when I reached the house. I just rested on the couch and before I know it, I fell asleep.

Hehe I woke up at around 8 pm and then fixed my stuff and then chatted a bit and downloaded some songs and then watched the Metro Manila Film Festival. "Naglalayag" got a lot of the awards, so Im quite pleased that I was able to watch it.

Naglalayag

very restful but active (?) day.

Woke up at around 8:40. I was thinking that I would attend the 10:30 mass at Ali Mall then head to the theaters to watch the film naglalayag which was a requirement for our lit class.

So I left the house at around 10:20, i arrived at the mass 10:35 so i did miss the entrance part. The priest gavea lengthy but funny homily. He was also singing a lot of songs during it. well anywayz, the mass was pretty quick since the priest spoke pretty fast.

After the mass, I headed for theater. And I was quite mad at the fact that they were not showing naglalayag in ali mall. This means that I have to go to megamall for me to be able to watch it. I didnt like that since I really had no intention of watching nora aunor's movie.

I was in Megamall at around 12:30, I went to the line where they purchased tickets and found out that the movie starts at 1:55 so I had some time to waste. I bought my ticket and then went around a bit. Headed over to the 1st floor area just above the skating rink and saw Jami practicing. It was while watching Jami when I heard the song that would become my thought for the day. Then I went to the fifth floor area and I spotted my block mate ralph with his family, I stopped y to say a quick hello and then left and went to the basement to play at timezone. When I was already in timezone I realized that I didnt bring my card with me, so I just went to Worlds of fun and played some dance maniax. Well Ialready sucked at it, so I struggled a whole lot, luckily I was able to finish it, I say luckily since there was a crowd watching me and I didnt really like the idea of me failing in front of a lot of strangers.
Then I went to the cinema area already since it was already around 1:30. There I spotted James (another block mate) so i talked with him for a while before deciding to go inside cinema 12 for the movie.

Well the movie was ok i guess. It tackled a lot of issues in our society today. It talked about relationships wit large age-gaps, the problems of criminality, and the problem of poverty. I guess it is a socially relevant film, a film which provokes you to think about things maybe this is why Mr. Remoto asked us to watch it.

After the movie I went out already and headed for home since I wasn't really in the mood to go around the malls anyway. As I was on the mrt, passing near ortigas, I got pretty nostalgic when I saw my alma mater La Salle Green Hills. I thought about some things most especially the fact that Im not using my mrt card anymore hehehe since i dont go to lsgh nor do i study at dlsu.

Diagnostic Tests...

A slow and dull day.

I woke up quite late already. I guess My body was trying to replenish all the sleep it had lost because of the school week.
I spent some time looking for my 4th year High school math notebook. I thought It could help me in my diagnostic test in math that would happen in the afternoon. Sadly the only notebook I could find was the second notebook I used during the year. So it had very little notes, and none that can really help me for the test.

After that useless search. I decided to study a bit. I answered the sample test and I guess I was able to get a pretty ok grade when I tried it. After taking the test, I decided to play a bit since it helps me relax.

Then i headed for the school at around 3:20, I thought that I was going to be late, but luckily the trike line wasnt that long (i guess it's because it's a saturday) so i made it in good time.

The test was ok. I guess I was able to answer most of the items correctly, I really hope I pass this test, I dont want to be demoted to math 1 since it would really mess up my schedule.

After the test we headed to dela costa hall to find out how we fared in our diagnostic test in filipino. I guess Im lucky that Im still in regular filipino. I really thought I flunked the test but luckily I survived. I guess I should text Joyce now and ask for her hulagpos book thingie.

My blockmates then decided to head for jollibee to eat. We were haaving fun, joking with each other. And teasing one another. After eating i decided to head for home since it was getting kinda late (well not really).

Today started with a very very wet morning.

It was raining and I left my house at around 8:10. I arrived in katipunan at around 8:20. Thinking that my class was scheduled to begin at 9:00. I decided that I should just walk to ateneo than risk being stuck in the line at the trike station and become late. So I zipped up my jacket and walked my way. When I was at the overpass already, I realized that classes start at 9:30 so I basically walked through the rain and got so damn soaked for nothing.

I entered the english class dripping wet, and a lot of people were telling me, "ui mico wet loook ah" hehe well it was ok since it was true anyway.

After that we went to the caf to eat. It was nice to finally be able to eat at the caf up, finding a place to seat there wasnt really easy, i guess we were pretty lucky to have a free cut which enabled us to head for the caf at an earlier time.

Then we had physics, I guess todays physics class was the most boring since we began. It was the first time that I fell asleep in class. And Cat said I looked funny cause I was sleeping, then writing, then sleeping again.

After the physics lecture we had our lab. We finally met our lab professor, and I guess it was ok. We also had our lab experiments and I guess it enabled me to interact more with the rest of my groupmates and the whole physics class as well.

Then we headed to the Blue Eagle Gym for the Cheer rally. I wasnt really that excited about it. As I said, I'm still more of a la salle fan than an atenean. Well it was ok i guess. Except for the long and disorganized lines for the Pe attendance stamps and signups. There was also the game between the Ateneo Legends vs. the ateneo uaap team now, I was able to watch the first quarter and half of the second quarter but I didnt really enjoy it. The first period featured a lot of substitutions for the legends team (which I was rooting for) so my Idol Olsen Racela didnt really play a lot when I was watching. When I left the ateneo uaap team was up, and later I found out that the legends team lost by 4. oh welpz so much for olsen racela.

Hai!

Yesterday was a Normal School day...

Went to ateneo. Headed to sec a for my math classes. It was ok i guess, at least up to this point in our lessons, I am still able to keep up with the class and not yet confused. I hope this goes on til the end of the sem (or the year, or my whole college life even).

After math we headed to manangs. We ate lunch there and we also hanged around there singing and my blockmates playing the guitar. It was also cool to find out that Chris listened to some jpop. Thenafter my blockmates' pe classes Barbie introduced us to Kana. She was a foreign student from japan and it was great to talk to her since she knew jpop and she also had this book that translated some basic filipino words into japanese hehe. It was nice reading that since I learned a lot of new japanese words.

After that We went to our filipino class. We finally met our professor. I guess he's pretty strict but overall he's ok I guess. After filipino I headed over to the covered courts for some basketball.

Pat and I played some ball. I guess I was enjoying it cause I didnt realize that It was already 5:00pm when I decided to leave. When I headed for the dressing area, I saw chris and I decided to join him in Sbc before heading for home.

and After a glass of italian soda I headed for home. I guess I was pretty tired since i had been playing sports for 4 straight days and my body aint accustomed to that. So at home, i just chatted a bit and listened to the cd that lace gave me and then I was easily able to sleep despite my insomniac tendencies.

Arouch part 2!

Boring school day again!

Headed to ateneo using the megatren (as always) haha and then when I left the train I was surprised to see 2 of my blockmates Lace and Richmond also departing the train hehe.

Then I had english class, well it was ok and then we had lit which was kinda fun because we thought we already had a free cut since our prof was not yet in class and 10 minutes had already passed but then Mr. Remoto came and well we had classes.

After that Physics class. We had a diognostic test thingie. Wow It's kinda fun taking it, since I can't remember anything about High School Physics anymore, and I was guessing at a rate of like 4 out of every 5 questions hehe. Oh well I think they were intelligent guesses anyway (yeah right).

After physics I headed to the library to waste some time since I still had PE classes at 3pm. I went there and read the book "The 5 People you meet in heaven" by Mitch Albom, which was lent to me by Michelle. It's a nice book, I'm halfway thru it and Im really liking it, I guess I'll buy my own copy once I have saved enough money for it.

After that I headed for the Cov Courts for My pe. Well I already had a sore thumb but I decoded to play thru it thinking that I wouldn't really be using my thumb. Well Unfortunately during the game part of the class. I tried to set the ball to my teammate and well my thumb hit the ball and it hurted me like hell. Now I dont have any mobility in my left thumb. It's now hard for me to write. Haha good thing I dont use my left thumb for typing or else I wouldnt be able to chat ehehehe.

A boring school day.

I had math during the morning. it was kinda ok, since I was still able to remember some of our lessons so Im not really left behind or anything.

After that we headed to manangs since it was near the covered courts and a lot of our blockmates were going to have their pe classes there. Kinda fun when there was this little butterfly thingie that flew around our group and Lace was screaming and running around because of it ehehehe.

After that we headed for our filipino classes and well lucky for us, there was no professor so we had a free cut thingie. so I had a lot of extra time so I went to the covered courts to play some ball.

I played in a 5 on 5 game and it was against this guys who were big, well built and well great players, haha I was nt really doing well during the game, just bringing the ball up and acting us point and letting my very great teammate do everything important. Then it happened, I went for a rebound and I jammed my left thumb on the ball. It was painful but I was able to play thru it, but it did affect the way I handled the ball.

After the game I headed for home and then I realized that the injury was greater than I thought I wasnt really able to lift my left thumb, kinda bad since im a leftie oh welpz.

It's just another manic monday

Another boring day.

I arrived in Ateneo around 8:50, it's not as early as it used to be since I was quite lazy to get out of bed ehehe. Spent some time just going around the caf. Then I met Khristian and the rest of our blockmates and then we spent some time talking until classes were about to start.

English was ok. I guess Lit was neat as well. We had our reporting and I guess it turned out pretty ok. After that I had a break then Physics class which was kinda boring as usual.

After the classes I had a break of around an hour and 30 minutes till my next class which was PE. I spent it doing some stuff at the library with Nikki, Lace, Alex and Aby. afterwards I headed for the covered courts for my Pe classes.

Volleyball was ok, I was able to do some things well. Haha but I guess Iwas very rusty and I wasnt really able to perform that well, but I had great team mates so we were able to win one game out of two.

Then after that I headed for home. then I met Victor on the way home, he was with Simon and Kim so I hooked up with them on the way to the mrt station. We used the PWD Elevator since Simon had a sprained foot so we had an excuse. Kinda fun though when the elevator slowed down so much that it seemed to stop when it was near the bottom. It did seem that the elevator was going to be stuck.hehe

Another boring day

Went out of the house to go to mass. On the way there I decided to go to the photo studio for some 1x1 pics because I might need them for school stuff. so there hehe after mass i went home.

When I was at home I read some parts of our lit book. hmm it was ok i guess haha it contained some riddles and some works in dialects that I cannot understand. After that I decided to just sort some of my music files.

Sorting my files for me, meant backing them up using cd's and then deleting them from my hard drive if I dont like them hehe. Well that took up about 3 hours of my time haha, It's kinda amusing to suddenly realize that I have some mp3's to some very beautiful songs but haven't listened to them since there are so many songs in my playlists...

Well I guess that's everything.

Nothing really happened today...

So I finished my first week of classes, and well today was just rest day hehe. I was either Sleeping or Lying on the bed listening to some Jpop and Kpop songs.

The only thing I did today that required some motion was when I went to the malls to buy a belt. hehe i dunno I guess im getting a lil bit thinner since now none of my size 29 pants fit well. They are all too loose hehe damn.

The End of the Beginning

Today was the end of the first week of ateneo classes.

Went to ateneo in good time this time. Hehe not too early and not late. I met with Ton and we stayed at the caf reading our english handouts. Then we decided to head for the classes and we met up with our respective blocks and so we split up and joined them.

My block decided to go to our classes and while waiting outside the room I met ate Loizel. Hehe we chatted a bit and talked about how we want to play hockey again but we cant find time.

After english our block decided to have lunch together at the caf but it was kinda full since it was lunch time so we had to split up in two groups. hmm another sign perhaps that the block is becoming more and more bonded.

After lunch I had physics lecture. well I guess our instructor is ok but she does have the tendency to get kinda boring. After our lecture we headed to the physics lab but lucky for us the instructor didnt show up so we had a free cut thingie.

Because of the extra time I had really nothing to do so the r2 people who were in Physics joined up and played some cards. after that I left and headed for the library and read a bit. After that I went around the campus and saw chris and some friends and well we chatted a bit then i headed for home.

Well I can say that I liked my first week in the school. All of the classes that Im in have nice teachers and great classmates. Im beginning to bond well with a lot of the people in all of them. I really hope that this is a great sign of things to come.

Third day of ateneo life. Well pretty routine day. Arrived early as usual, hehe met up with some of my blockmates then had breakfast at the caf. Well nothing really happened during the morning.

I had english with my english block, haha kinda funny when kristel came and she was wearing this Black Lakers Shaq Jersey saying that she wore it for support. And the class was teasing her about it. hehe well english class ended with the Pistons winning the championship! so haha too bad for her. I'm actually a Lakers fan, but I didnt really like their chances in the finals. I am a fan but I didnt really believe in them this series (the nerve of me to call myself a fan).

It was also during the 2 classes in the morning that I realized how tiny my handwriting is. At first during English class my prof said that she thought that there wasnt anything written on my seatwork. At first I said that the ink was just light and didnt really consider the size of my handwriting, but when literature came, my proffessor said that he cannot read my handwriting because it's microscopic so I had to rewrite my paper. Luckily Michelle said that She would write it for me since I still write very tiny even if I already tried to increase the size of my penmanship.

Then physics came, kinda fun cause during the physics class, Rey and I were singing close to you for no reason at all. hehe just plain weird.

The 2nd Day...

2nd day of classes.

Went to ateneo early again. I arrived there at around 7:50 I guess. This is kinda early because my first class was scheduled at 9:00.

Since I was early, I toured the campus a bit. I tried to familiarize myself with the layout of the whole campus. I met some friends but I didnt really join them since we were not really that close with each other. After touring around for a bit, I went to SEC and saw my blockmates. So I stayed with them. It was kinda fun just hanging around and chilling hehe talking about nothing at all but enjoying it. The block got together there and we ended up being around 15 already there so we decided to head for the classrooms.

Well we had math. It was nice knowing that I still know how to solve the easy problems that were given to us. The instructor was ok as well. After math we had a three hour break so we just went to the ORP to buy our math books. I saw Pat and Ishi there so I just joined them hehe. After purchasing our books, the block decided to head for mcdonalds, so we went there and ate. At first it seemed that we wouldnt be able to sit but luckily some people left so we had vacant seats.

After mcdonalds we went to the classroom of our filipino class. We were delighted to know that the room was air conditioned. Well we weren't able to meet our instructor but the replacement gave us a diagnostic test thingie. The test was really quite hard since Im not really that fluent when it comes to deep filipino words.

After the test, I just decided to head for home. While at home, I decided to buy some books that were listed in the required reading. Well I bought candide by voltaire and Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, both of them needed for my fiction class.

Today was a nice a day. I guess the block is becoming closer as the days go by. Of course there are some who are not with us during lunches and stuff like that but I think they'll join us soon...

Atenean...

Today was my first day of classes.

It was somewhat of an easy day, I went to ateneo at around 8 even if my first class was scheduled at 9:30. I went around ateneo and met Alden. We talked for a little while and then he left me because he already has a class. I went to the Caf and I met Angelene. Kinda funny though coz she said hi to me but I wasn't able to recognize her. I ended up saying, "Hi!, I'm really really sorry but Do I know You?" Hehe it was kinda rude but well it was the best I was able to do during that moment. We spent some time talking and then decided to head to xavier hall for us to be able to get our ids. Haha well the Id picture sucked, it was very ugly haha too bad I have to wear it all the time that I am in campus. We then headed to our building since it was almost 9:30. Well the teacher was looking kinda strict but as soon as she talked she seemed to lighten up a bit. The same goes for our fiction teacher. And our Physics teacher as well. Hehe it seems that the roster of teachers that I have is pretty nice. I then had a long break before Pe classes. I was hoping that we would play but I know that today would just be an introduction thingie. Hmm well the instructor for Pe was ok. She wanted to make the volleyball classes fun for everyone. After Pe I hooked up with some of my blockmates and they introduced me to Jason. He was our blockmate who didnt attend the ORSEM so it was my first time meeting him. I Well he is a nice guy, its just that he seems to be very softspoken. Hehe kinda like me I gues (WOEH!!!!)

Well if this is how my life in ateneo would be, I guess I can start liking it. Maybe in time I would look back and say that I really made a wise decision going here in ateneo.

The Last Sunday

Today is the last day before classes in Admu start.

Well I spent most of my week in Ateneo. Hehe the only exception being Sunday and Saturday. Ive had lots of fun in the school. I guess I must thank everyone who made me really feel welcome in the school.

I enrolled last Thursday. I chose Physics as my Science and chose Volleyball as my PE. After that I already headed for home. Then I remembered that some of my high school classmates were planning to go to lsgh to get the cd yearbooks. So after eating lunch, I already headed for Lsgh.

Then I had my guidance testing last friday. I was kinda surprised that we needed pics. Luckily I had one in my wallet. The guidance testing was very boring and everyone finished way earlier thatn the alloted time given for each test.

After the guidance testing my course block decided to go to starbucks. I guess the idea came after the talk that we had earlier about unity in the block. But when we reached starbucks, we found out that the available space there cannot accomodate all of us so we just headed for Seattle's Best Coffee (Hehe I tried the Italian Soda thingie and well it was pretty good). Well a lot of us came, but some were not able to come probably because it was just a spontaneous idea.

Saturday was a rest day for me. I guess I got tired from the ateneo week hehe. So I was just sleeping most of the day.

Ok, now I have a few more hours til I start ateneo classes. I'm pretty excited about my blocks. So ill blab about them for awhile.

First my course block. hehe Block R2, Well this block is composed of many varied individuals. With some being the quiet persons and some being the loud outspoken people. Right now, I guess there is something like factions within the block. With little groups being formed hehe. I guess that's pretty normal since it's just the start of the year. But the block is slowly jelling together. I guess thre trip to SBC being the first step towards it. Yeah maybe now we are not as bonded as Block R or R4 but Im sure soon enough we will be like them. Haha this may sound like Im envious of them, and well yeah I guess in some way I am. But it's for a good thing anyway, I guess that enviousness thingie is the way for us to think about how bonded we should be.

Then my English block. Block R20, well what can I say? haha cant think of any coz except for some people who were already my course blockmates I never really got to know them since we were just together for about a day. But well my crush is there. I guess my other blockmates noticed that she was my "crush thingie" since i didnt really hide the fact anyway. haha I guess another reason to stay in ateneo. haha well she may be the unreachable star but hehe im still trying to reach for it. But Im loking forward to becoming close with this block since it is with them that I start my mondays, wednesdays and fridays.

The Ateneo

Orsem day since minday im hella tired.

June 7,2004 - The first day.

Took a taxi to go to Ateneo. Well I arrived earlier than I should have. I arrived at around 5:45 but the cov courts were supposed to open at 6 30 hehe. Went in and I was the third guy from my block (R2!) who arrived. Haha waited a bit then talked with some R3 people hehe. Found out that one of them was a chatter, and she chatted with me the day before.

Well then most of the block arrived (2 of them were absent) and I guess we are a good bunch of guys. My block is filled with many friendly people. Although some them are quite silent, I guess they will soon open up once we get to know them better. OH on anoter note I must say that our TNT and the Logs were very very nice guys, they can really make you feel very welcome here in ateneo, I guess this applies to all the orsem volunteers.

A part of the orsem was when they were teaching us the cheers, hmm I just dont get it yet. I still think that the lasallian cheers are way better heheheheh! ANIMO LA SALLE!

Decided to go to kfc with Vanjo and we met up with some of his friends. Haah had a great time talking about ATENEO and LA SALLE and then we decided to head for home using the megatren.

June 8 ,2004 - The Second Day:

Used the megatren to go to ateneo. Haha when i went down a guy approached me and asked me if i was an atenean. I said yes and well we decided to go to school together. Then we went to the tricycle station and saw that the line was very long. Luckily my new found korean friend (shin) had a pal who was already way ahead of us on the line and said that we should all go together instead.

I went to my block and hooked up with some of my 4a classmates. Talked about stuff and then decided to go inside the covered courts already. Haha i wasnt early this time so there were already many people from my block who were seated. Waited until the program was about to start and realized that there were only 2 R2 seats in a row of R3 students. haha then unfortunately I realized that I was gonna be alone since Michelle said to me yesterday that she was not feeling well. haha my position made me feel like the "sampid" of R3 haha but it's ok since that's what i was joking with them about anyway.

Then we went to the campus tours. It was nice since I finally got a faint idea of how the school is mapped, I gained some confidece knowing that I wont get lost in campus when the time comes to move around.

Went back to the covered courts, hahaha some trouble though. They were teaching the admu alma mater song wahahaha. Hmm too put it short. I'd rather say Hail to thee our alma mater, Hail! HAIL! HAIL! than Win or Lose it's the school we choose.

Had so much fun in the group dynamics portion of the program. I actually made new friends because of it. I also realized that my class is 30 and that I should not be contented with making just a few friends.

Then the SOMnight happened. It was ok I guess. Some parts were very nice, but some were quite boring. Haha another bad thing was that they actually went over the 7:00 pm time that they gave. haha i guess it was not that bad since im commuting but still hehe. A good thing though was that I was able to see a lot of the beautiful women of the JGSOM! wahahahahaha damn that's very shallow wahahaha.

Walked to the megatren station with vanjo. then we saw James and Deneb and they said that they were going tp buy some shirts for tomorrow in ali mall. And I told them that Ali mall was near my place so I was gonna accompany them, then i realized it was near 8 pm and that ali mall was closed. So i called home and they said that I just go to shopwise instead.

When we reached cubao, we first went to my house to leave my things and get a quick drink then went to isetan (thanks to mama's advice) and bought our shirts. Then they headed for the station and I went to 7-11 first to buy some stuff before going home.

I realized during the orsem days that I am someone who can be makulet but in a controlled way. I realized that I am quite a friendly person, and Im actually getting more and more active with most of the members of the whole class. I guess this is something good that was brought about by my decision to go to admu instead of dlsu. I really doubt that I would be able to become a more open person had I stayed with most of my lsgh batchmates since they know me already as a quiet person. At least here, I start with a blank slate.

Ready, Steady... Go

Today is my last day of vacation.

Well technically it's not. Admu classes start at 14 but then they have this orientation thingie tomorrow until wednesday, then enrollment on thursday, then guidance testing on friday. So it almost seems like classses have already started.

Woke up quite early around 6. I was supposed to go to ateneo using the aurora mrt train thingie but the station was closed down on sundays so I just stayed home until around 10. Then I went to the malls to buy some clothes, haha the thing with going to a school with no uniforms is that I suddenly realized that I didnt have that much shirts. hehe so I bought some clothes but then my mom said that I should try Shangrila for some other choices. And I said that I will go there at around 3 pm.

So I heard mass at around 12pm until 1pm then went home. Ate lunch then went online, chatted with a few friends and well watched some shows. Then I decided to leave for shang.

ROde the mrt to shang and well tried to find some shirts that I like. When I spotted and bought them, I decided to leave shangrila already. But as I was about to go to the mrt station, I saw another station that caught my eye, haha POWER Station. So I just played some games and well I then headed for home.

Now Im at home Im trying to fix some stuff for tomorrow. I guess I'm gonna sleep a lil bit earlier today, haha I am kinda excited and also quite nervous because I dont know what to expect to see tomorrow at the orsem. I guess Im also quite anxious because being in this orsem is somewhat the start of my college life. It is also the beginning of my life as an atenean, haha damn I still feel better being called a lasallian than an atenean. haha I guess the best way to look at it is by saying that being an atenean is not the end of my lasallian ways, it is merely a continuation... (haha yeah right, i'd probably cheering for DLSU in the uaap anyway! ANIMO LASALLE!)

Renovation

I had to stay at home today! damn boring!

Well the reason I had to stay home was that they were changing the bathroom tiles and well no one was able to use it, so no baths until around 5 pm today damn.

Well that wasnt only the one being renovated, our kitchen was being fixed too. New tiles and everything so we werent able to cook so we just bought food from grill queen.

The house's electric connection was also being fixed, so i had some power outages. I guess that's the only reason why I disconnected.

Well my site is also under renovation, i think im gonna add a background picture on it hehe the site is too simple i guess just one touch of design wouldnt hurt...

Even this blog is still being worked on, i already know the code that im gonna use but i cant think of the proper colors that im gonna apply to them so well its still not finished.

Im actually in a sort of sentimental mood today. I was planning to write something like a solitary cross part 3 but then Vea disconnected and i suddenly felt quite lazy to continue it, maybe tomorrow i would do it.

Had a pretty normal day, in short boring...

I went to megamall yesterday supposedly to skate but then I realized that it was already june 4 and my free skating time coupons were valid only until May 31,2004. darn!

But I still went thinking that I would just play dance maniax at the arcade near the rink. But to my horror they have already removed the machine. Although there was another machine in the mall i didnt like that since it has fewer songs per token in it. damn!

With my trip to megamall already wasted I just decided to head for home. When I reached home well I had nothing to do so I just downloaded some songs and went online in ym and irc to chat with some friends.

Around 3 pm I decided to watch the Pirates of the Carribean vcd. Well the movie was great. Nice fight scenes but the story was kinda flat though hehe.

Then I went online again and chatted with some friends, played some online games and check some email.

Solitary Cross version 1.8

Had a pretty ok day today.

Woke up at around 7 am so that I can go to my last day of driving lessons. I had a 2 hour driving schedule so we had some time in our hands to go to different places. We went to quezon city circle during the drive and I had fun going around the circle 2.5 times, hehe kinda fun to practice there. It's like being in a nascar circuit race with the route being composed of just left turns.

Then I ate breakfast at mcdonalds ali mall and after eating I went up to the theaters to see what time harry potter 3 was showing. It said 12:00pm so i just decided to go home and just come back.

Went back saw to watch harry potter 3, it was ok, kinda nice but if you read the book you might get a little bit confused or maybe you would wonder what happened to some of the events that were written in the book but was not shown in the film.

After watching, I went home and on the way i decided to buy 3 movie vcds. Hehe I bought the last 2 lord of the rings films and also pirates of the carribean. I was also looking for the first spiderman movie, but unfortunately the shop didnt have it in stock.

At home I asked James how far his progress was in the layout of my site and he said its done. And now here it is! I guess Im just gonna ask him to edit the color of the links and then add some more features and it would be the finshed version 2 of Solitary Cross. I really have to thank james a lot for this layout since he spent his remaining vacation time just fixing and editing this layout hehe. Under Construction

Went to the lsgh to distribute some cd yearbooks...

Turns out that the cd yearbook has not yet been delivered, they will deliver on monday. So we just decided to leave early.

Went to Robinsons Galleria with James, Alden and Pat. Went up to top floor and then saw Anj and Da sitting in Ice Monster. Then we decided to eat at Yoshinoya. We met Powee as we were about to leave. Went back upstaris and this time saw Ishi with Da and Anj.

Alden then went home to leave his yearbook. Then James left the group and headed for the arcade. Pat, Powee and I stayed for a little while then decided to follow him as well. Alden soon followed us, hehe they played billiards while i played run and gun2 haha it was kinda fun playing that old game after a long while.

Then headed for the mrt station with Powee. Powee was going southbound to Starmall, while I was going northbound coz im heading for home. So we split up as soon as we reached the station.

Arrived at my home and decided to edit this blog. I asked James to add a little window for an about me part and now I'm working on it. Im thinking of things to put in that place on your bottom left corner and also of a good color scheme for that littl part. I guess I'd be finished with it later.

Im in a sentimental mood now. Probably because of that line and the song believe by Yuko Yamaguchi. Its such a great song and well the melody is quite nice to.

I have to thank Vea for giving me a very good laugh. She said somewhat of a stupid thing that really got me laughin my ass off. We were talking about anime's and then astroboy came up. Then suddenly Vea blurted, "nung una akala ko Girl si Astroboy" wahahaha damn that really cracked me up, haha it could be corny but the way that she said it really was a thing to laugh about.

6A the reunion...

Had a very boring day at the start but things got a little bit better in the afternoon.

WEll the 6a people of lsgh batch 2000 had a little reunion in the afternoon. It was kinda fun to see a lot of my former classmates there. Although some did not really change that much. Hehe

I had to thank powee for fetching me and also driving me home. At first I was not really supposed to go but powee kindly offered to take me there and bring me home.

I guess the reunion is another bittersweet memory for me. It was kinda fun reminiscin about some of the days when i was still very young, but it was also a reminder for me that we are now living lives that are separated by our school choices... Its not as east as going from classroom to classroom now, or waiting for recess and lunch to be able to be with them. Being with them now means careful scheduling of activities because of the different and conflicting schedules of our college lives.

High Muckamuck???

Went to lsgh this morning to distribute yearbooks again...

Well as usual nothing much to do but wait for students to come, so we wasted our time doing crosswords. There was this item in the crossword that was kinda long around 10 letters (could be more) with the clue being High Muckamuck. Well what the heck is a muckamuck?

So the word could have been overbearing but then it's too latefor that now, hehe...

Went to cybersphere and saw that the lakers won over the timberwolves, yeah! It's now 3-1 for the lakers, i hope they really win the championship this time. Pat and I also tried to understand the different basketball plays used by the nba teams, hehe. I realize that basketball is not just about dribble and shots but include every twitch and other movements of the body of the different players all over the court.

Then Iking and I went ahead to galle to watch Shrek 2. I was kinda forgetful so I had to call up Pat, to tell him to bring the shades that I left at the table. But back to the movie, WOW! that was one heck of a movie, the movie was outrageously funny with the voice acting and all, and the parody of some of the most famoust fairy tales.

After the movie, I hooked up with Alden, James and Pat to play billiards. Hehe I had a very bad game except for that one shot using the right hand (im a leftie but the ball position then did not really enable me to use my left) that actually went in hehe...

After that we went to magoo's pizza to eat, hehe great food, expensive price though. wahaha The saleslady was kind enough to give me the shades that I left on the counter hehe. (the heck that was the second time i left that shades, doingk)

Then I hitched another ride home with James. James' Mom kindly drove me home. James and his family have really been kind to me. Not mentioning the other things that James does for me, I guess that must have been the umpteenth time that they drove me home or to ali mall. They say that it's on the way but heck its not really that close. I really wish I can repay them in some way...

Thought for the day:

Basketball, Block, and a Borderless world.

Went to lsgh to help in the distribution of yearbooks...

Well I wasn't really able to help much haha unless you count moral support as helping in a big way thhen that means I helped.

Played basektball with Pat and James, I was sucky in my free throw shooting but i was pretty much able to hold my own during the one on one against Pat, although i lost 21-19 it was a great game, and it did a lot of good for my confidence. The reason for the close score could be the fact that there was no three point arc making the match more of a driving game. Pat is one of the better long range shooters in our class but he wasnt able to use it here cause his long range points can be matched by a layup, hehe i was able to make good drives and some nice shots and moves but i ultimately lost to the better overall baller hehe... and i got cramps to boot wahahaha daym.

Then played some graduation hmm I had a pretty good touch during the game hitting four straight treys during one stretch but well the other players left cause they didnt really want to sweat that much. And probably because of the bothersome little kid.

I did play another one on one game though, this time with the kid half my age and half my size as well wahaha. He was kinda boastful during the graduation game so I took him up on his offer for one on one, i did give him good breaks on defense but well of course i didnt really give him that much of a chance when i played him on offense, using my height and speed (wow how often can i say that?) to defeat the little kid.

When i got home, i tried teaching some kid neighbors on how to dribble the basketball, then one of the kids got overconfident coz i praised him and challenged me to a stealing contest, hmm well he needs new slippers now coz I used every skill that i have against him wahahaha (and this was against a little kid man how rude of me, damn).

Blocks were released a while ago, im in a class of 30, 17 of them females and of course 13 males, hmm well I hope i make new friends among those, and find someone whom I can really get close with, I think it's kinda good to have someone who is gonna help you during the transition period from high school to college.

I typed Patricia Evangelista's speech in notepad. I got the copy from LIBRE when I rode the mrt one time but I left the page with Iking, and i was just able to get them back a while ago. I typed it even if i can easily find one on the internet and just copy and paste because it enabled me to understand her speech deeper (since i read it while typing) and make my typing skills a little bit better. Wow that gal can really do great speeches...

Didn't really do anything, I wasnt able to go to lsgh to distirbute yearbooks, I got kinda lazy and I also had to stay home coz my mom was about to leave for africa hehe. I was chatting the whole day and playing some computer games. Another one of those super boring days i guess...

May 26, 2004.

Again I wasn't able to go to lsgh since my driving lessons were rescheduled to an earlier time. Damn so much for holding on to the last moments of my high school life. As i said eralier, I didnt have any sleep so I was kinda woozy hahaha. But then the driving instructor said that i was great awhile ago and my reaction time was very nice, hmm makes me wonder if i need to be sleepy to be able to drive pretty well. I still have to go the ear doctor's office (around 5 o clock) so i guess I'll go now and blog about it later.

Wow i had around 20 typographical errors while doing this blog my hands are not hitting the proper keys anymore hehe i need some sleep... well 21 now coz i typoed again while typing this.

Strike!

A warm and sunny day today, a change from the dark and cold days that we had.

Started the day by going to lsgh, we distributed yearbooks but there were only very few people who actually came and got them. This could be because dlsu's opening of classes was today and well a lot of our batchmates went to dlsu for college...

Since we had a lot of spare time in our hands we played a weird game using the scope 2004 posters and the Shrek dvd case. We were trying to knock down the case by using airplanes made with the scope 2004 posters. I guess we wasted an hour or so just doing that, haha how mature of us.... wahhaahah

Then we went to galle to play some bowling. Well it was my first time to play and i sucked, BIG time. I was missing the lanes and hitting the gutters, and lofting the ball wahahaha, well at least the last frame showed something good, i was able to roll the ball in a pretty good manner, kinda like releasing a basketball and knowing that the shot will go in as soon as it left you hands...

Went to starbucks and met some of powee's friends, ordered hot chocolate and it made me think on why im ordering it there when i can also get it in mcdonalds for a much cheaper price wahha. Oh welpz...

I guess im going to lsgh again tomorrow to ditribute yearbooks oh welpz, i kinda like hanging around there anyway, i guess its my way of hanging on to the few remaining moments of my high school life.

Another rainy day, and its soo cold...

Hmm went to driving lessons. Finally got that damn clutch problem. The instructor for today was the best since i started. After driving , I went to ali mall to hear mass and then I went home and played computer all day.

The weather is so cool, and is very conducive to sleep. And i really like sleeping on rainy days, sleeping could be the 2nd best thing to do during cool weather...

Well i dont know why performance during pressure filled situations is called performing in the clutch heh but today i dont need to perform in the clutch I need to perform well using it. Somethings wrong with my clutch and gas control, hehe the cars kinda jerky and at times the engine stops because of it. Everything else seems ok, hehe i guess after around 70 minutes of actual driving, i should get the feel of it already, but i still dont, hehe maybe tomorrow i would get it already.

Addicted to the game midnight club II, hehe this racing game is so cool, its actually quite difficult but that adds to the fun factor. Its quite fun to listen to the initial d songs that i have while playing the game thanks to the built in mp3 player of the game. It makes me feel more immensed into the game.

Longest Day...

I was up till 7 am saturday.

I wasnt able to sleep because of my right ear. I guess I finally realized what the meaning of writhing in pain is. My right ear was so painful i was squirming and gnashing my teeth so hard. I was already experiencing the pain starting 1 am and well the hours that passed seemed so long...

Well when I think about it, a short moment can actually be quite long, especially in a basketball game. Hehe Derek Fisher was able to make a turnaround fade away jumpshot with 0.4 seconds left on the clock hehe. That's an amazing shot that I probably wont forget in my life time.

Since we're on the topic here are some other amazing last second three point shots that i won't forget:
1. Bal David's Desperation three pointer from halfcourt that went in just as the buzzer sounded making ginebra win against san miguel. - Im an SMB fan all the way but that shot was simply awesome.
2. Robert Horry's three pointer against the Sacramento Kings during the 4th game of the playoffs. A lucky play but a not a lucky shot. He was at the right place, at the right time.
3. Joseph Yeo's halfcourt shots. Hehe he does this so many times which is really great, makes me believe that he practices it. hehe even if im an atenean ANIMO LASALLE always...
4. Kenny Redfield's three pointer against Alaska, that one them the game.. It was a great shot with time running down, he's three pointer was somewhat of a fastbreak and he was leaning in, so it seemed that the three pointer came from the free throw area.
5. Kobe Bryant's three pointer against Portland that sent the game into overtime.This is one hell of a shot, he was being shadowed by Ruben Patterson, the self proclaimed "Kobe-Stopper", and well he wasnt able to stop that...
6. Kobe Bryant's three pointer against Portland that sent them to the top of the Pacific Conference.Another great shot, hehe over the great shot blocker Theo ratliff.

After Derek Fisher made that shot, he said something like guys dream about making shots like that while growing up... well to be honest i do too, I remember the times I wasted on the basketball court thinking about improbable situations and how I, the little 5'3 kid from LSGH (well ADMU now) would suddenly hit a game winner, send the crowd into a frenzy and jump with joy at the great thing that i have done...oh well.

Insomniac?

Its 6:56 am and I still have no sleep...

Yesterday I went to Lsgh to do some yearbook stuff, to be honest I wasnt really able to do much because of this damn right ear. It really was hurting me.

I bought the Initial D: Mountain Vengeance game. Well the game sucks, The controls re so crappy and you cant really drive well. Imagine including a drift button in the keyboard. And expecting you to use it during turns or else you wont be able to make it. This sucks since even if you are moving slowly you would still hit the guard rail if you dont do the drift button. And well Damn drifts are supposed to be done manually hehe.

Chatted wth Patchoi, a chat friend from st scho talked about a lot of things especially chinitas haha, well i was very hyper during the conversation, Im still expecting the gal. patchoi hehe

Oh well its now 7:00 am i think its just an hour or so til the lakers - spurs game, hehe of course im a lakers fan so GO LAKERS, but tony parker is really great.

Well I was supposed to stop there but then winamp plays a song and a line from it caught my attention. This line comes from the song Fly Me to The Moon and Back from the initial d soundtrack:
"I wanna share this beautiful moment, so c'mon baby tell me you're free tonight"
Well i guess i can relate to it a bit, hehe especially after the patchoi conversation, Kinda got me thinkin about why i never had someone to share my beautiful moments with. Hehe well though one might argue that friends are there, i guess its very different when you share them with someone special...

Feel the pain...

I had a pretty active day, even if my right ear hurts like hell...

Woke up at around 6:30 am, even if i slept quite late since my ear hurted. I guess its also the reason why I woke up, i guess my body cant take it anymore.

Even if it was painful, I still wen to megamall to skate. I saw Ate Louann and Kuya Kitt, hehe I havent really seen those two in a long time. Makes me want to return to ice hockey as soon as possible. I also saw Jeipi and Jami hehe but then I wasnt really able to talk to them since Jeipi was busy with his students, and Jami was busy practicing. The rink was in bad condition though, Im guessing the pipes were broke since there is a part that had been cordoned of because of very thin ice, there were a lot of people too so it wasnt really that enjoyable to skate...

After skating, I played at the quantum arcade, I was doing quite well in dance maniax hehe and then i decidedd to pull of some exhibition moves and well everything turned bad, there was this guy though who played after me and he was quite good since he pulled off so many difficult moves and was still able to maintain a 497 combo score...

After quantum i decided to go to timezone, im finally getting the hang of the intial d game, i was able to beat 2 opponents straight but lost to the final one on the easy stage, i guess my car needs more power and a better skilled driver hehe

When i went home, i tried to download the song in my dreams from the dance maniax series, hehe with luck i was able to find one source who let me download the song off him.

Then i went to the ENT, and after cleaning up both my ears he said that i had an "impacted cerumen" thingie on my right ear, to be honest at first i thought i wasted my time there since even if he cleaned it my ear still hurt.

When i went home the pain started to get worse, so i applied the prescribed medicine on my right ear, well after sleeping for a while i guess my ear is a whole lot better, so thanks doc! i didnt waste my time after all :)

hehe this is quite long probably because a lot of things happened to me today... which is something new for this summer hehe

Boredom,

Another boring day darn...

I have an ear ache, for some reason my right ear hurts. Hehe damn .

Spent the whole day downloading japanese, korean and chinese songs. Im quite amazed that i listen to a lot of these types of songs even if i dont understand them. I guess I just like the melody and the rhythm of these songs.

Im also really taking full advantage of my unlimited isp connection. sure it's a crappy dial up but its still unlimited so it enables me to download lots of songs without the worry of me wasting my internet connection just because of downloads. The drawbacks of this kind of connection are that its kinda slow and that it automatically disconnects after 5 hours, but still hehe im making full use of it.

As Im writing this mother's day came up...

Well what to say? I dunno since its mother's day today im gonna write sumthin for my mother I guess...

A thought for mother's I guess... Try to avoid talking about how great the son or daughter of your friend is. It kinda puts ur child in an awkward position. It could make him feel that your expecting something from him and you want him to be better... Especially if your gonna talk about how great the child is when it comes to treating the mom (and dad) to different material things. And thinking out loud "How about my child will he act like this as well?" doesnt help also, it could actually frustrate him or her...

Another thought, hehe taken from the korean film my sassy girl. Hehe never tell your child that he is smart, he will never study after knowing that ahaha..

Initial Drive

Woke up at around 6 30 am to go to A1 driving schools's sm north edsa branch. It was ameeting place so they can take us to LTO East avenue for our student permits.

After we got our permits, we went back to north edsa, where i had to kill time because there was still an orientation that would happen at around 2 in the afternoon. So I just played at the arcade and strolled around the mall till the time came.

Now that im about to start actual driving i am kinda excited. I wonder if I can pull of those takumi fujiwara initial d moves hahaha.

Had very little sleep today, 4 hours at the most hehe...

Played some basketball at lsgh, I was missin my long range jumpshots but my driving game was nice. I was able to hit layups over taller defenders and use good dribbling moves. Afterwards we went to the shower and took somewhat of a bath haha...

Then we went to galle to play some billiards, wel i guess i did pretty ok, i did miss a lot of easy shots though.

After that went to rustans cubao. and enrolled at the A1 driving school, im gonna get my students permit tomorrow at around 7 am so i better sleep early hehe..

I went to Megamall skating rink, hehe saw Angela and i realized that it was her birthday hahaha... belated happy bday anj!, saw Cla but didnt recognize her oh welpz watta life ahahaha damn. Met up with alden and we went to the arcade, kinda frustrating to see the games that we used to play in podium for 20 bucks are just played for 6 there...

Wednesday (28)
Went to LSGH to play basketball. Had a nice time playing against Pinggoy and his gang. RObin's hot shooting enabled us to get 2 out of the 3 games ahaha during the three on three. We lost on the full court 5 on 5 though on a lead by two game ahaha darn that long ranged jumper. hehe My right leg cramped up though, damn this has been a persistent problem since 2nd year highschool...After that we went to gale to play some pool and well my shot sucked big time!

Just watched tv, saw the lakers decimate the rockets during the third and fourth quarters of the fifth game of the conference semifinals with the lakers leading the series 3-1, hope the lakers win this years championship, aside frim being a laker fan, i kinda pity karl malone, although i dont really like him, cant really help but appreciate the way he plays the game...

Friday (30)
Went back to Lsgh to do some yearbook stuff, hehe kinda frustrating but at least its something. After that we went to play some pool in podium and then i went home pretty early i guess it was just around 4 when i headed for home... Hmm aside from a few fnu hours here and there i guess it still is a pretty boring day. haha damn maybe i need a gf (hmm pls connnect????)

oh well basically that was the week that was...
i really do hope that i would have something better to do by next week ahaha...

Just some random thoughts and events

Another boring day, to be honest it was a very boring week save for some excitement because of meetings and gimiks...

I asked James to edit the template of this blog, and well here is it now, im gonna fix the colors on a later date im getting kinda lazy even if there is nothing to do...

Played badminton last thursday. well it was actually my first time to play with a net and a real racket and shuttlecock, you know not the cheap ones that are being sold at malls today. I kinda enjoyed it might try to get myself into it.

Got my webcam yesterday and well it's doing pretty ok, save for the fact that i am in a dark place and there's nothing i can do anymore to enhance the quality of the images oh welps...

Status: Disconnecting to be online

Boring day again...

I didnt go online yesterday. I dont know sumthin just clicked in my head and said hey dont go online today (something bad will happen?) hehe and well i didnt. And i didnt really "miss" being online. It made me realize that though I am almost always online and use up so many hours chatting and surfing it is an empty activity for me. I mean it does consume time but that's all that it actually does, so far I havent really done anything useful or meaningful with it

Well obviously i connected to the net today, but I didnt connect to irc. I dunno, i guess i got quite tired with chatting since i have done it for some years already. But well, chatting has actually become somewhat a part of my life. It has been a refuge for my weary soul, a place for the latest infos on things that are actually happening in the "real world". It is also a way for me to meet some people and make new friends. Heck, one of the girls that I am very close to is someone that I havent even seen a person.

I guess i kinda like meeting people in Irc. IRc lets you interact with people but still gives you enough of a barrier so that you wont be too uncomfortable. Sometimes its a lot easier to open up to a complete stranger in chat, than to open up to a real friend. And Irc actually has a way for you to avoid the slip of the tongue since here there is a backspace button hehe. And I guess in Irc removes the discrimination against the appearance of people, here (well at least for me) as long as you can type your ok. Although sometimes the barrier itself can be a bad thing. It hides emotions and real motives of people but still what difference it is from the "plastic" people in the real world...

Tick, Tock

I was so bored that I actually looked at the clock and a watched time go by while listening to its rhytmical tick tock.

I noticed how slowly time goes by when you are bored. A second seemed like an hour during those moments. Then I remembered the moments when I was very happy, these moments when time seemed to go too fast. When I dont even notice that plenty of hours have passed. I guess time is not really measured by hours, minutes or even seconds. I guess time is measured by how much fun you had while a moment passed by. I guess (wow three guesses) it something like saying that the day was slow when you were doing nothing and that time flies when you are enjoying it.

I guess it's kinda weird, paradoxical even, that when I look at it now; the first three months of 2004 seemed to go too fast. But I remember during those days, when I was actually living on that timeframe when I said that the week was going too slow. Maybe it was too much schoolwork which made me quite burdened. then I realized that this moments should have been made special. I should have enjoyed these moments and lived them to the fullest.

Funny how the simple tick-tock of the clock can open up so many thoughts...

Wow today is another fall out day of a gimik, in short boring

Wow I cant believe that I was so bored to a point that I began making testimonials to a lot of my friends in friendster hehe. I guess I made 30 of them today well i have 408 friends there so far and if i would make testis for 350 of them hmm some computations.

number of testimonials i plan to make when im bored: 350
number of testimonials i think i have made: 45

well it means that there are still 305 testimonials to go. if im going to do this well i wont be a very bored person till summer ends hehe.

I hate it when it's stiff...

Damn I'm sick...

Well I have colds and fever and a stiff neck to boot. The fever and colds I can live with but the stiff neck is really causing me some distress and its damn frustrating. I cant lie down well, I cant hold my head up and I cant look to my left side without it causing me some pain. I wonder if this is really just stiff neck because this time its really very painful. I know I have a pretty high threshold when it comes to pain but damn this is really troublesome. Hehe could this be a sprained neck hehe.

Im in love with the song Go the Distance sung by the korean group Sugar. It is a japanese song that the group sung because they want to enter the japanese market...

The Sound of Silence

Damn, Another boring day in the life of mico ruiz...

Woke up at around 9 am. Had nothing to do so I turned on the computer and well played NBA Live. After that I watched some tv and then played again. Then I was asleep for some hours which is a good excuse to tell my mom on why I am still awake at this hour.

Well I found out that My Internet Explorer can;t handle embedded music files. I dont know why probably becasue of the built in player that IE 6 has. I guess Im not losing much since I only know of a few sites that still make use of the embedded sound files. But still knowing that your browser is somewhat faulty is not really that nice...

Rebirth

Haven't blogged for some time now. I guess I kinda got busy or lazy or both.

As I said before Im already an Atenean but still I believe that La Salle spirit is still very alive inside of me. I guess the roots of being a La Sallian really goes down deep. I wont deny that Im having some second thoughts about the decision. hehe I guess a factor is the reality that there are a lot of chinitas in dlsu damn hehe. I guess a somewhat of a consolation would be the fact that the course that im taking up in Ateneo is filled with chinitas ahaha.

On a more serious side, My sister is sick. I guess it struck me since she was somewhat near death. To be honest I was fearing the worst. I guess I was already conditioning myself of her loss... And the guilt that comes with not being able to show her how much I really cared for her. Luckily She's getting a lil bit better everyday. I guess this is something like a lesson. At least now I know that I should show someone how much I really love him/her before its too late.
